Alright, so i am going to move up to LA and attend UCLA in Westwood. The thing is i am only 18 now and will turn 19 in a month. And i don't have a driving license.I heard u need a car to live there and that transportation sucks.I don't have yet so much money for a car and license.I am also LA for musical career. And i am from europe and don't say its nice here because its even more expensive.

  1. Yes, it's difficult here without a car. LA is VERY spread out. I would start by checking out www.metro.net to learn some of the bus lines you need. Also, UCLA has shuttles that go everywhere, so that will help. As a freshman, you don't need to go too far off campus anyway. The trick is to make some friends immediately... just make sure they have a car! :)

Driving schools here are not that expensive, especially compared to Germany. So you can learn here.

BTW, your English is very good.

    Here's a funny riddle:

If you speak two languages, you are considered bilingual. If you speak three languages, you are tri-lingual. What do you call someone who only speaks one language?

    American!

    (Sad, but true)
