How do i decide where to move to when ready to move, i have chicago and california and i have relatives there?

I am interested in moving to a state where there pay is higher, who knows the pay rate between california and chicago? please let me, thanks.

the pay may be better but the cost of living is higher. It might be best to find out what is the average cost of living in each place, and then decide how much you can make in your profession.
