  1. It's been mentioned, but got thumbs down for some reason...

    1.  Pull fuel pump relay in the underhood fuse/relay box.

    2.  Crank engine until dry

    3.  Get to work!

Put fuse back in place when done.

  2. You have to remove the fuel pump fuse. This way the fuel pump will not pump any additional fuel and the injectors will inject whatever pressurized fuel is left in the lines when you start the car. When it dies your lines will have very little if any pressure but they will still have fuel in them so be careful not to get any in your eyes because it will burn.

  3. easiest way to do this.... remove the fuel pump relay... give the ignition power... that will release the pressure... you will still have fuel in the line but it will have no pressure

  4. open gas cap this should do it hope it helps

  5. hey Vickie, on top of the engine there is a schrader valve (looks like a tire pressue valve) that's used to check fuel pressure when the engine is running, it's located in the fuel line that feeds the injectors, using a small screwdriver you can gently depress the core and let the pressure bleed off, then it's safe to crack the fittings at the filter w/o spraying fuel all over yourself...make sure the key is turned off before doing this..
