How do i delete a virus on Kaspersky?

Question

On my computer when i'm scanning for viruses using kaspersky it says there are infected areas (i think viruses),

but it doesn't say how to delete them all it says is disinfect

(which is greyed out) or quarrantine.

When i click quarrantine it pops up saying open with all my folders and everything and i don't know what to do. :S

Can you help me please?

I assume you are using version 8(2009)

Is it by chance a vulnerability?

Under threat type what does it say? If it says vulnerability then it is not a virus, it is just outdated software and should be updated or left alone. If you post a link to a screen shot it would help.

To check on it open up Kaspersky's main window > click the your computer is protected at the top > click the detected threats tab > now what does it say for threat type?

If you want you can email me a text file containing the detected threats list, I can then tell you if you have a virus or not.

To do this:

Open up Kaspersky's main window

-Under where it says "protection" look for where it says "antimalware"

--Click "files and memory" then choose "reports and statistics"

---Now at the top click save and save it to your desktop

well i haven't heard of ur anti virus software. my suggestion  is to change it to norton anti virus as it way efficient and u can manually or let the computer solve the problem for you. you can also check the history and the risk level and where did it come from etc..

so try using that.

There should be a button to remove the virus. If the disinfect button is grayed out, then you are probably using a restricted version of Kaspersky. If you are, then you need to purchase the full version.
