  1. Honestly if you want a one stop solution to do that download and install CCleaner. So simple a 5 yr old could do it. Download install and press a button.... Done.

CCleaner was designed as a virus removal program, but it is spectacular and removing temp web pages. That is you internet daily history. You can automate the process or do it each day if you prefer.

    Here is the link:

I use it on servers too. Works like a champ and its free.

  2. Go to the history button on top of the task bar and click on delete on all the folders, (ex. Today, last week, two weeks, 3 weeks etc.) Also make sure you go to your internet options and delete the cookies button. After that you should have your history pages deleted.

  3. You can have you browser delete your history files and your cache files when it closes.

    For IE6:

Go to Tools --> Internet Options.

Delete your temp files when you close IE:

Select the "Advanced" tab and scroll down to the security section and make sure that "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed" is checked.

To not maintain IE history after you close IE:

Click on the "General" tab and set the Days to keep pages in history to 0

    Click on "Clear History" button

Once these 2 things are done, click on the "OK" button.

    Fore Firefox:

Go to Tools >> Options and select the Privacy tab

Enable the "Always clear my private data when I close Firefox" option and click on the settings button.

Select / check the items that you do not want Firefox to store after closing then click on OK button.

Then click on the OK button for the Options dialog box.

Now when you close Firefox, the private data that you selected will be deleted.

    Hope this helps
