How do i delete items from search for in history?

i know how to delete history ,about auto complete, the right click on items than delete but nothing works

I'm not sure what web browser you are using, but I know that for mine you have to go click on TOOLS then OPTIONS then PRIVACY and there should be a little box that says 'Remember what I enter in forms and the search bar'. If you un-check this box,  what you've entered in search bars will be deleted. Good Luck!

I have safari so ll I do is put private browsing and nothing shows up next time use

FRM YOU IE BROWSER TOOL BAR SELECT TOOLS THEN SELECT CLEAR BROWSER HISTORY

                                              OR

DO START BUTTON, THEN SETTINGS ,THEN CONTROL PANEL...SELECT INTERNET OPTIONS  ON THE GENERAL PAGE .. SELECT DELETE BROWSER HISTORY

You need to clear or disable Auto Complete. This saves all previous searches in your search bar. Here's how to fix the problem:

For Internet Explorer: Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom.

well like when i am on google, if you just roll over it so its 'blue highlited' just press the delete button

are you talking about internet? you know where you type a web address in? around that area should be something that says tools... click it then... the option delete browsing history then delete all OR... on your desktop screen right click the internet symbol and go to i think it is properties and it should be pretty self explanitory from there
