How do i delete my gmail account?

Im not very into my gmail i like my yahoo better. I was wondering how i delete my gmail account?

well go to google.com, it your account settings, you will have options for all

Sign in on the Google Accounts homepage. (If you forgot your password, you can reset it).

Click the Edit link next to the 'My products' list. On this page, you can delete your account.

Confirm your account deletion. To do so, you'll need to select these two options: 'Yes, I want to delete my account,' and 'Yes, I acknowledge that I am still responsible for any charges incurred due to any pending financial transactions.'
