How do i delete old messages from my yahoo group so i can receive new ones?

are you talking about deleting the groups archives? I have never met a owner yet whose group had too many archives for new posts to come through. if your posts are not going through, I'd wonder what the group settings are for "reply to".

yahoo allows a ton of space for this and I belong to many active groups that have huuuuge archives, posts still go through.

depending on if you're owner or moderator- deleting archives you'd find a start point, maybe by the first month of group started, there are small square boxes to the left of each post, with a delete tab top and bottom left- if you do not see this, you cannot delete archives- you'd check all the boxes and click delete

I'd suggest however if you're having problems with posts going to the group, it's a different issue causing it.
