  1. okay its really simple. you have to go online to itunes.com if you dont already have the software and download it for free. once all your songs are on there, select a song (doesnt have to be checked, just highlighted) right-click it and click on delete. for multiple songs to delete, hold down Ctrl + click on every song you want deleted. =]

  2. plug your ipod in. go to the options and click only sync checked songs. then deselect the songs you dont want on your ipod. (this does not delete the songs from your computer, it removes them from your ipod). then resync your ipod and they should be gone.

  3. This is easy, go to the summary tab and there is a check box on the bottom that says, "manually manage music" check it. Uncheck the others. Now, when you go to your ipod view, and you can select songs on your ipod and delete at will. This method disables the auto synce feature so if you want that feature then, you will need to disable the, 'manual manage music' feature and recheck the others when you are done removing the files. If you don't do this, the files removed from the ipod, which I assume are in your itunes library, will resync to the ipod and they will reappear. So, you'll have to leave the maual manage music feature on permenatly, or remove the songs from the itunes library. Which you can also do to remove them from the ipod, if it is in the autosync mode and you dont wish to change it.  Got that?

  4. well you should follow the steps as above, but if that doesn't work then there is something obviously wrong with your ipod and you should get it checked out. also, on itunes the application, there is 'itunes help' in the 'help' menu above. hope that helps.

  5. If I had the song "Step By Step" on my iPod I'd delete it too. Ha ha! Just kidding. OK:

    1) Plug your iPod into your computer

    2) Open iTunes

    3) In iTunes, expand the music library **in your iPod** (i.e. not at the top of iTunes, which is the library on your computer.  This is the list of songs on your iPod.

    4) Delete as you need to.

    Hope this helps!
