How do i delete videos on my video camcorder????

i have a hitachi video camcorder, and i was goofing around and made a sorta embarrasing video! how do i delete it?!?!?!?!?!?! help!!!!! plz!!!!! its my family's camcorder!!!!!!

If it's a minidv, just rewind it and record over it. If it's a minidvd, just throw it away, cause once it's on there, it's on there. If it is on minidvd, you can convert the files with a converter program like handbrake, and once it's on your PC, you can take the parts you want to keep and then burn the new project to another minidvd.
