  1. Technically online poker is not illegal to play.  It is however illegal for banks to process online gaming transactions.  A player will not get in trouble for wagering online.  I suggest epassport for deposit and then ask for a check for withdrawal.  What the online poker sites do is transfer your money from a bank outside of the US to a US bank and the check is cashable or ready to be deposited.  The two banks have a relationship that includes transfers from all kinds of companies, so they don't know whether it is online gaming.  Full Tilt cannot directly deposit into you account because that is a violation of UIEGA but they can have another bank deposit to another bank and draft a check...hard to explain, but you best bet is probably epassport they seem to work well.

Check out this post where I talked to Greg Raymer about the law:

  2. I would use an eWallet like ePassporte for deposits and withdrawals, or use a Visa All Access Gift Card for deposits and withdrawals by check or bank wire.  I've used ePassporte and Visa All Access cards with varying degrees of regularity but NEVER had any problems!  There is a complete run down of deposit methods for US residents at http://dagus-statistics.com/reviews.htm where you'll also find additional tips and bonus codes for poker sites.  Hope this helps.

  3. yes it's legal and the best deposit and withdrawal method for USA players is Epassporte. However you will have to verify your bank account to set up Epassporte and it takes a week or two to get your account verified and active. For other deposit and withdrawal methods as well as the best possible poker sign-up bonuses and freerolls visit http://www.InternetPokerBonuses.com Also Cake Poker or any of their sites on the Cake Poker network accepts US credit cards where most other sites won't and there's lots of donkeys at Cake Poker :-)
