How do i determine the positive and negative charges of my speaker which has blue and gray wires?

  1. Blue is Positive

    Gray is Negative

    Think of it as Blue = The color of electricity flowing.

    Grey = bland no color, no electricity, no positive charge.


  2. A home system speaker has a red and a white wire hook-up on the back, I use the red as pos., put the blue wire there and the white as neg. check the back of your sytem and do the same. If its a car system, the back of the deck is marked pos./neg., you'll have to take that and the speaker out to check the markings on the speaker hookup.

    Either way, its not that difficult.

  3. Look at the other speaker and see what it has.

  4. In truth - there is no positive and negative on a speaker.

    Pick one color from the speakers and wire the Negative speaker wire to all these inputs.  Wire the positive to the other.

    Or - do the opposite.  As long as you wire them all the same, both ways work.
