  1. for a pike when your up on the net jump as the ball comes to the edge of the net - do not hit it straight on you want to appear to hit it straight on - hold your fist straight but hit the ball with the left or right side of your fist - while holding your fist straight - it will spike the ball to either side while opponents are going to go for the middle centered under in front of you -

  2. When you spike, outside or middle, or even back row attack, there is always the footwork.  You take a GIANT step with your left, then two quick baby steps with your right, then left again.  You should stop before you jump, so you don't fly into the net.  Then you pull your arms back, then follow through hard with your hitting arm.  That is what makes a kill.

When you serve, overhand is what you should do.  Take one step with your foot, toss the ball right in front of you, pull your arms back like a bow and arrow, and bullet your arms and hit the ball at it's highest point.  Keep your wrist tight.  Flick your wrist for a floater, and don't for a power serve.  Good luck.

If your wondering, im not even out of middle school yet.  I've made the team before with flying colors!

  3. um,well there's lot's of thing's u can do look into volly-b magazine's and when u start your serve whatch your form of your body meaning when u spike / hit/serve move your sholder's your hip's and step w / your foot.

  4. For hitting, timing and your foot steps are keys. As for swinging the ball hard, that's all depended on how hard you try at practices. You'll get better at hitting the ball hard as time passes.

You foot steps will be like this: left- right- left- JUMP

When you take your first left, do a regular step

Sort of make a big step on your right

When your make your third left, your right and left feet should be stepped TOGETHER then jump up IN place so you dont run into the net raise both your arms and swing. Hit the ball with your palms and snap your wrist. so that the ball hits the ground and not just like out of bound.

so it's like left- right- (fast here) left STEP TOGETHER jump!

Words are so hard to understand and hard to explain too! I wish i can show you how it is but i cant! haha~ they'll probably demo for your at the tryout. GOOD LUCK~
