How do i do a feet first surface dive?

I know that you put your arms up and keep your legs together; ... does anybody have any tips.. last time i tried doing a surface dive i went half way down and then shot right back up... i do not know what i am doing wrong but it would be greatly appreciated if someone could give me a few pointers on how to do a complete feet first surface dive?thanks

  1. did you empty your BCD fully

    and don't take to deeper breaths

    and push down with your arm and by down i mean up so you can go down


  2. when you slow down right before you shot back up bring your arms up along your body above your head and pull down again it will get you to the bottom.

  3. Tread water at the deep end then using your arms press down on the water so you come out a little bit and then throw them over your head (on a prone glide position) and sink to the bottom.

    I don't know if that made any sense at all but that's ok
