  1. 1:  Stagger your feet for whatever is comfortable for you.  (It is suggested that if you are a righty you'll have your right foot slightly forward and the left foot for lefties.)

2:  Step with the foot on the non hitting side to wherever it is you intend to serve to.  And the hips are kept slightly in the opposite direction.

3:  Toss the ball in front of you in one fluid motion with the step.  The toss may take a bit of practise to get the height and length down.  Use two hands on the toss for more control.

4:  Bend your swinging arm with you elbow high and your thumb down.

5:  Contact the ball with the middle of your palm contacting the middle of the ball.

6:  Follow through and then get to your position ready for play.

Once you are comfortable with the basics try flicking your wrist on impact with the ball for top spin.

Also remember it is easier to adjust to a toss that is too high than one that is too low.

  2. You need an extreme amount of POWER

  3. its over hand and al you need to do is have the correct form-right leg forward(opposite if you are a lefty)ball up, step and swing at the ball.  PRACTICE< PRACTICE

  4. Without actually seeing you hit the best I can tell you is to practice. If you are getting a solid hit then you need to practice control. Some people have trouble with hitting the ball into the net - or worse over the net low so the front row just spikes back.

Practice exagerated height first by leaning way back and hitting the ball high, try to get your distance down by aiming at the back line. This also tends to pull your back hip into the right position if you are too far forward now. When you can consistently hit the back line start trying to lob it in at different distances. Once you have a feel for distance, start flatening out your serves with a little more speed.
