best way to learn is to watch a video as books can only describe the way to do this.

for videos - go to youtube and search for crochet - there are lots of interesting and instructive videos on this subject.

I know this may not be what you wanted but the only way to learn is to practice and if you do not have anyone nearby that can teach you then these videos may help.
