How do i do the splits?

I'm so trying to do the splits, but it hurts can you help me?

  1. well maybe ur just not flexable enough

    but strech a lot and c if that helpz at all


  2. you have to slowly do it.. It will take you a while to increase your flexibility.;. warm up and each time try to go a little further.. Just dont push yourself too much and hurt yourself.

    Baby steps....soon, you will be flexible enough and wonder how you COULDN"T do it before!

  5. Do stretches each day with your legs, over time you will gain flexibility.  It is not something that will happen overnight.

    Do not try and do them to soon as you will strain yourself.  Dont get frustrated not many people can do the splits.

  10. there's really no easier way. u just have to endure the pain and keep doin it or else it just goes back and u'll lose ur accomplishments

    You need to stretch out your legs try:

    1. When your watching tv spread your legs apart and reach forward with your arms.

    just really stretch stretch strech stretch

  13. STRETCH EVERYDAY!!! Do 10 toe-touches everyday. That'll help flexify your hamstrings (which is the main muscle used during a split). Then maybe like 10 jumpin-jacks...ur done! :)

    I couldn't at first but u just have to keep streching. Stay in the splits posistion for a minute or two a couple times a day. And you will reach your goal.

  20. I'm a dancer/gymnast, I have been since I was three. My advice is dont force yourself, and DEFINATELY stretch first or you'll be feeling it a lot worse later on. Practise a little each day with stretches and eventually you'll be able to do the splitz while finishing your work. (Yes, I have done that!)

  22. You should start slowly by stretching, and doing partial splits. trying to get down that low all at once will damage your muscles possibly tearing them. That is if it is possible for you to get down there now. A stretching program willensure that you make it all the way down there eventually though. Practice and patience!

  23. lmao...no, i cant. but ur Q reminded me of a funny moment in skool today. we were playin some ultimate frisbee and i tiped a pass so it fell short of the intended receiver. it landed on the ground and continued to skid in his general direction. he tried to put his foot in its way to stop it, by sort of lunging. instead his foot landed on top of it...and it kept on skidding...making him do a split! lmao...what makes it funnier is that he cant normally do a split. he ok now though :P

  24. The answer is.  You don't do the splits.  What if you get stuck like that for the rest of your life?  

    How will you ever pee in the toilet?

    How will you ever go to your high school prom?

    How will you ever do a handstand?

    How will you ever take a shower in your own bathroom?

    How will you ever be a New York city Rockette?

    How will you ever slam dunk a basketball?

    You seriously need to think about these things before you try to do the splits.

  25. i found that pilates really helped me to get the splits. Just stretch everyday and should kind of hurt so you get an effect but not too much otherwise you could do damage

  26. do some strentches and then everyday hold ur split as far as u can go down for a min.  sooon u will have them.
