How do i download a torrent into my client rather than ares?

usually when i press open it automatically begins to download in utorrent but today it keeps going to ares which never actually downloads. help pleaseee

In uTorrent 1.8 at (Ctrl+P)>General there is a button to push to have uTorrent be the associated program for torrents.   There is also a box to tick to have uTorrent check this on startup, to avoid this issue in the future.

Another way-Since you have uTorrent, I assume you have Windows and so you can right-click a torrent file and choose "properties" and then press the "Change" button and set uTorrent as the associated program.

There probably is a setting in Ares that is causing this, but I do not know where it is.
