How do i download songs on to my ipod??

Question

I connected my ipod shuffle to the computer and it says i have to insert a disk or download something from http://www.apple.com/ipod/download, but it only comes up with downloading itunes. I already have itunes on my computer but not the new itunes.

Can i download songs without downloading the new itunes??

Or do i have to download something else?

Really would like any help given. Thanks :)

Its probably asking you to update you dont have to just add the songs in the itunes and sync them.

Just Turn off the thing that tells u to download the new itunes. now try downloading songs. if this doesnt work then i cant help.
