  1. are you a good shooter if so wait till he sets up for your charge and then shoot a jumper right in his face!

if you dont want to shoot drive up to him and if you think hes gonna draw a charge on you just 360 around him and layup.

I think you drive  right soo surprise him he probably sets up for the charge on the right cause he THINKS your gonna drive right, then surprise him by going left and he'll look like a fool lol.

or drive slowly by using dribble penetration ( change of pace dribbling) slowly drive up and then before he has a chance to set up for the charge drive faster and lay up! Or try post up around him he wont be ready for it!

    Hope I helped :)

  2. try not to lean into the defender. if the ref sees you do that or drop your shoulder into him, he will call a charge. also, you could try pulling up for a short bank shot or jumper before you get to him.

  3. You're gonna make contact anyway when driving 2 the basket with a defender on you

  4. Don't if u stop half way there and if one of your teamates reconizes this they will drive to the basket from the corner and if u pass it to them  theres 2 points

  5. First of all don't make your drive obvious to your defender. They are watching your eyes, so if you look right they will move right. You have to make your drive convincing especially if you don't have the speed to get past him. So if you can try to cross him over, OR drive using your non-dominant hand then spin and scoop in a layup with your dominant hand.

One other thing, be choosy when you drive to the basket. You don't have to drive everytime, and if they lane is clogged you probably shouldn't or you'll turn the ball over.

  6. Hit an outside shot or two to get him to play up on you tighter.  Then Fake the outside shot, when he steps toward you drive at his forward leg. (ie: he steps up with his right, drive left, and visa versa) this forces him to have to turn farther around to get in front of you..  If your drive to the back leg side, he is already in good defensive position because his body is already turned to go that way.  Learn to fake and drive, jab step, short long , rocker move.  ***First you have to set the Defensive man up, then act upon his reaction.  You have the ball you are in control!!
