  1. no pork no shell fish you can't mix meat and dairy at the same meal that the most i know was a cook for 3 years in a high jewish area

  2. Okay here it goes...

    1) You can only eat animals that have cloven hooves and chew their cud (no rabbits or pigs)

    2) Shellfish is forbidden

    3) You cannot eat birds of prey

    4) If you have meat you must wait about 4 hours to eat dairy

    5) If you have dairy first you only have to drink water before    meat

    6) You cannot eat meat with blood in it

    7) You can only drink kosher wine

    8) Use seperate dishes for meat and dairy

    * This is a good beginning...Good Luck!

  3. While "kp" is partially right, I did work also when I was a chef with Kosher kitchens, it is best to go one line and get the most accurate information as to an entirely Kosher lifestyle, or speak with some one who is an orthodox or practicing Jew and as them how they do it.

  4. Most food in today's market are kosher just look for the symbols..
