How do i enable my tcp/ip

Question

i have my laptop hooked up to wireless internet and i want to put an Ethernet cable hoping it goes faster and when i plug it in i hit repair and it wont let me connect it says tcp/ip is not enabled and ive seen some other questions where people tell the asker to check in tcp/ip and mines already checked in how can i enable it?

Control Panel > Network Connections > right click on your connection > Properties > scroll down and check internet protocol, click install.  You're done.  If it's already checked there try unchecking it, rebooting, and rechecking it.
