How do i end a game when the person on the other side is just sitting there?

Where are you playing?

For example, if you're playing a chess game in Yahoo Games, the opponent will lose automatically if he/she does not move for 10 minutes.

Very often, the opponent seems to be just sitting there because his/her connection was interrupted and he/she's trying to get back which is very often impossible because the room is full.

Now, if your opponent just left, you have to wait 10 minutes to win the game or you can always ask somebody to replace your opponent and resign on his/her behalf (those "I need a resign on table 10" things).

I always use my own table with a timer so people just sitting there, willfully or not, will lose on time.

But, of course, this is just about Chess on Yahoo Games...this answer might not apply to other games in other places.
