  1. ave you tried scrunching? It's a lot like crinkling paper... but crinkling hair.

    Introduction

Scrunching has come back into vogue in response to the huge demand for big hair, Pre-Raphaelite curls and saucy waves. Scrunching is often combined with other hair styling techniques including back combing.

Scrunching, also referred to as crunching or hair runching, is a technique that involves crushing sections of hair together. This process is used to add instant texture to naturally curly or wavy hair from enhancing curls and waves to creating a cross between the two.

Although some types of straight hair with natural bend can benefit from scrunching, the process works best on hair that is naturally curly or wavy.

Scrunching can be performed with or without other tools such as a finger diffuser and/or a blow dryer.

    How To Scrunch Hair:

    * Use your normal shampoo and rinse out conditioner. If you wish to enhance your natural texture consider using a texture enhancing product mix like PhytoCurl which helps define curls or Phytobrush which was specifically developed for use in scrunching, blow drying and creating waves.

    * Rinse well and finish with a cool/cold water rinse which helps to seal in moisture, add shine and helps enhance the hair's ability to form curls and waves.

    * Carefully squeeze out any excess water with your fingers. Remember to never rub wet strands but use a combination of techniques from squeezing out the excess water and then blotting strands with a towel.

    * Towel blot with a thick towel or towel designed to speed dry your hair like the Earth Therapeutics Towel. It is best to wait to apply products to super wet strands since some of the product will drip off in the process.

    * Apply your product of choice to the middle and ends of your strands. Avoid applying product near the roots which may weigh them down except in the case of adding volume sprays like Phytovolume Actif or similar.

    * Don't be afraid to layer product to get the best look. You may wish to mix a defrisant products along with your styling product to add texture and block frizz at the same time. It is possible to mix Phytodefrisant with your favorite mousse, glaze or paste.

  2. use sunsilk wave products

    they accually do work great

  3. yeh im the same my hairs thin with natural wave to it. Apply mousse after washing it whilst hair still wet and then dry it with a diffuser - all u do is attach it to the top of your jairdryer (it shouldve come with one) tip ur head upside down and dry whilst scrunching it with your fingers. Works everytime! x

  4. you could use pantene pro v's wavy hair shampoo and conditioner. if your sick of doing your hair all the time, right after you shower brush your hair in with leave in conditioner and let it dry. it will lok like you used a diffuser.

Btw a diffuser is the attachment to a blow dryer that makes curly hair blow dried without frizzing it out.

  5. i have a slight natural wave too with fine hair, what i use is Herbal Essences totally twisted curl and wave. its in like a dark purple bottle, shampoo and conditioner. and when i get out of the shower i just add a little pantene curl moose. and i blow dry my hair for a while until its about 90% dry while crunching it. its low maintenance. sometimes i don't blow dry at all.

  6. i also have wavey/ kinda curly-ish hair, what i do to make it curlier if i want, is when i get out of th shower and towel dry my hair, i scrunch it, so from bottom to top i just scrunch it up, u can do it when its wet or use a curly hair product (many on th market) and scrunch it when u put it in..

i dunno if this will help u but its just what i do.. lol..
