  1. Since they are doing a group interview they obviously want someone with social skills. Be very friendly and smile and make small talk with lots of people.  You want to be remember able, (maybe a small red scarf or something) but not too gaudy.

  2. Speaking from experience and from interviewers:

-Don't always be the first to answer or the last to answer a question.  Mix it up. Sometimes be the first, sometimes be second or third. Try not to be the last person to answer a question.

-Listen to other interviewees' answers. If your answer is often similar to others' then it's not good.

-It's very obvious to interviewers which candidates stand out or are unique when they conduct a group interview. Try to stand out by sharing interesting comments/ experiences/ perspectives. Don't be ridiculous or obnoxious though.

-Depending on what kind of interview this is for, you might have a problem to solve as a group. This shows your teamwork skills.

-Don't put other candidates down or disparage their remarks--it just reflects poorly on you and shows you can't work in a team.

-Dress appropriately. If it's business related, wear your suit. Use little details to help you stand out (like a nice tie, a watch or simple earrrings that show good taste).

-Do your homework about the potential employers, the interviewer(s), the job requirements, the company, the school etc. If appropriate, even read up on current events before the interview. You'd wish you did when you're put on the spot.

    Good luck!
