i heard this song By thousand foot krutch called the the art of breaking (artofbreaking.com you have to click on her thunb that says Audio player, then chose the second song) and when i heard the main verse

you can not kill what not your creation, this is the art of breaking.

i understood it, and if everything is gods creation why kill what is living and breathing. But when i tried to tell my mom before i could finish she said god put animals on the earth for food and that it is acceptable. But i just can't stand food walking, living and Breathing, then ending up on my plate. it just no longer tast good.

how can i tell her?

  1. tell her you are g*y and when she feaks tell her Just Kidding but I do want to become a vegitarian. She will be so relieved tha tyou are straight the Vegitarian part will be no big thing

  2. Do what I did. Just come right out and say, "Mom, I'm not eating meat, poultry or fish anymore. I know what happens in slaughterhouses, and I don't believe in it. I will make sure I get the nutrients I need, and I will find recipes that we will both enjoy. Please, I would appreciate it if you would accept my decision and be supportive." And if she still says no, say it's your choice and not hers, and learn to cook your own meals. Chances are, she will accept you if you are mature about it.

  3. Our bodies are made to eat meat.  Our canines to tear and our molars to grind.  We need certain vitamins, minerals and protiens meat and products from aminals provides, which is why so many vegetarians take suppliments to compliment their diet.

We wouldn't be saving the environment, nor the aminals if we all stopped eating meat as people would no longer farm certain grains (to the extent they do) if the animals had been slaughtered due to us not eating them and very many aminals would be slaughtered as an extremely high proportion are bred and farmed for meat, milk and skin.  The farmer would not be able to afford to keep the animals just for the sake of it.  As an effect of this you would probably also find most if not all farmers of livestock and very many crop farmers would end up skint and living off the government and depending on where they live possibly even starving.  It would not only have that effect on them but also on the feed producers, distributor, farm hands......

Also plants need to be germinated, need nutrients to grow and survive and if torn or cut from their roots or suffocated they will die.....or did God not create living plants.  I mean, who actually decides what is living and breathing and what is not.

If you decided to become a vegetarian that is your choice, just tell her, she may not agree with your choice but if you keep refusing to eat all meat products she serves she may eventually accept your choice.  Research vegeterianism properly to find out the correct things to eat to provide you with a sensible and balanced diet first and then discuss things with her.  She may be less blinkered if you are using common sense and going about it intelligently and committed manner

  4. quite a kind guy u r.................anyways , try this one, when next time she cooks non veg, make a very silent sad & unconsciouss face and dont look at her as if u r tired  of telling her, eat one bit, & then start acting of vommitting...........it may be hard but it never failssss.......

  5. Eat your mother...

She'll stop you and probably she'll give you a salad...

  6. Do what kids do with their veggies, eat around your meat for a week and your mom will be like "wtf?" then tell her.

or you could just say "Mom, i want to become a vegerarian, so i need more beans, and stuff in my lunches."

  7. tell her that your existence on this earth does not have to rely on other animals sufering and dying.  Tell her for every 1 pound of meat it takes 100 pounds of grain to make it and keep it so by not eating meat we are saving the environment. Plus your digestion will improve. I know it's weird, people think that something is wrong with you when you go Vegetarian, it is so intrenched in our culture to eat meat. It is a status symbol of wealth unfortunately

  8. I'm sure she'll understand. Explain to her the way you feel.

Maybe let her listen to the song.

I noticed my 8 year old daughter asking for no meat and that's perfectly fine as long as she still gets all her nutrition and stays healthy.
