  1. (2+3x)(2-3x)

    finding the square root

  2. this is the difference of two squares:

    (2-3x)(2+3x)

  3. (2+3x) (2-3x)

  4. (2-3x)(2+3x), using the formula for the difference of two squares

  5. a^2 - b^2 = (a + b)(a - b)

    4 - 9x^2

    = 4 + 6x - 6x - 9x^2

    = (4 + 6x) - (6x + 9x^2)

    = 2(2 + 3x) - 3x(2 + 3x)

    = (2 + 3x)(2 - 3x)
