How do i fade semi permanent hair dye?

i put in a semi permanent hairdye, its a dark brown and has a red tint in the light, i really would like to fade it, could you tell me what home kitchen products fade hair dye colour or what shampoos?

Head and shoulders...........my hairdresser told me it strips the hair dye out straight away and it seemed to work.....if it doesn't you could try washing it over and over, thats what my friend did....=]
