  1. Just let the crickets run wild, the leopard gecko will go into hunter mode and track them all down. I love to watch them hunt :). Make sure you take out the leftovers though, you don't want them hanging around too long.

  2. What I usually do is just put a few in the cage, and it will find them and eat them.

  3. You just drop a few in to the cage.  Three or four and wait till he eats them.  You can feed a couple every day, or maybe six or seven  every 2 days.  When he's big, feed the same amount, just buy large crickets.  You can also feeed him a meal worm or two by hand or with reptile tweezers once in a while to give him variety.

Leos usualy hunt by movement, so they have to see the cricket moving.  If the sees them but thhy are too fast, rip off a leg.  It's best to feed in the evening when the leo is more active.

If there a couple crickets in the cage for a few days, they might be hungry and will bite or nibble at your gecko,  but if its only a day it will be fine.  Put a small carrot or gutload in the cage so the crickets eat that.

Make sure to use a good gut load so you gecko gets vitamins, i like the 2 in 1 by Flukers.

    HTH :D

  4. Just drop a few in the cage. It's usually safe to leave the crickets in overnight. Don't leave them in too long though (5-6 days is pushing it imo, just take them out and put them in a different container with something to eat, then try again later) They do get hungry after a while and might try to nibble your gecko.  If you get a little worried that they will eat your pet, you can put a little fruit in there so they will have something to snack on if your lizard doesn't eat them right away.

  5. your stupid

  6. yes, as long as you have dusted them. If your leo can't catch them rip the back legs off. Why do you have a food tray? Mealworms/supers, or veggies (they don't need veggies).

The crickets should be no wider than the space in-between your lizard's eyes any wider and they may paralyze it. They may bite your lizard if they are left in overnight. As many as it will eat in 5 minutes.

    No.

I hope you are using a solid substrate (i.e. no sand/bark/ or anything loose) like repti carpet, paper towels, or tiles.

this is what happens if you use something loose.

  7. lol ya just throw 5-8 crickets in for each leo you have, its best to throw them in at night cause thats when geckos like to hunt best, if you notice your gecko is leaving a couple crickets and not eating them take them out and next time don't give him so many, the reason you dont leave them in is because they will annoy your gecko bynibbling them and so forth and eat the fecies from your gecko therefore poisoning it if he gets eaten

  8. You drop the crickets into the cage, but not too many, because it is not good to leave them in overnight or longer.  They can nibble on the lizard, besides making the cage stink.

Either put them in and take them out after a couple of hours (that's long enough for the lizard to fill up); or put the lizard and the crickets into a different container (e.g. a plastic storage box they can't get out of) and let the lizard eat as many as it wants, then put it back in its own cage.  A lizard, faced with a quantity of insects, doesn't take long to fill its stomach.  And, except for very tiny lizards, they do not eat every day.

Most lizards will not eat food that is immobilized; they need to see it move.

  9. just put it in there and close the cage...wow.
