I have done my GCSEs General Certificate of Secondary Education and got these results:

A* English Literature

A Citizenship

A Dutch

A Religious studies

A English Language

B Additional Science

B Mathematics Higher

B Media studies

C Science

C German

C Statistics F tier

C Design and Technology

PASS for Edexcel adult numeracy and literature (2 GCSEs)

I didn't get to grammar school.. Which was part of my big dream.. I didn't get in because the internal students all did well and they just have no room for me.. I feel like i have failed because i haven't gotten into the school.. My grade's could have landed me a place but it seems that everyone came before me.. (I was on the waiting list because of a grade error i made on application form). Now i'm going to another school, a non-uniform school and people who got low grade's in their GCSE's and who are probably going to do it again.. How can i feel better? It just hurts me so much thinking about it..

  1. Awww don't beat yourself up over it.

You made the effort and tried your best, and that's all anyone can ask of you.

What school you go to doesn't necessarily affect the rest of your life your life.

OK, so, you might not be going to the best school in your area, but don't let that hold you back.

Work hard and prove everyone wrong - be different from the other students and make something of your life.

  2. You did amazing, its just the internal people get first choice, please don't feel its your fault. Is there another school? If not, then you are going to have to stick it. Anything your teachers dont teach you, teach yourself thorugh online or in your textbooks. Its no good when you come to doing A levels, blaming the teacher, so takre learning to your own hands. Besides, you wil feel superior to them, if that helps!

    Well done.

  3. If at first you don't succeed get yourself up and try again!

(that happens to be from one of my favorite songs "try again, by aaliyah)

i'm a smart kid but i failed my math class

so instead of me crying and being depressed about it, i decided that i was going to be dedicated to this subject and try to do my best also do you know that i passed that class with a 90!! the second time around, that's a lot better than an D

i know your upset about having to go to a "lower" school (that's how you put it)

    don't stress over it!

you can't change the past but you can choose your future

be dedicated to all your classes this year, weather you like them or not and try to ace them!

planning equals success, so try to be very organized

don't wait to study at the last minunte

    and  do homework,

homework is the easiest grade and it also makes your average higher.

plus your report card isn't that bad!

as long as you tried your hardest that's what counts!

so think about all that, and this should make you feel a little better

    good luck

    =D

  4. Well, I'm American, so I don't really know all of the foreign school dialect, but personally you did very well.  A couple of mediocres, but OK.  I'm presuming you took the IB program, so why not study abroad? If your good schools won't accept you, why not take the test again, just for kudos.  I presume non-uniform school means public college in England or wherever you are sorry.  Anyway, just try your best.  It doesn't really matter what college you go to.  It matters what you do with your education.
