How do i fight the urge to skip workouts? boxing workouts, real stuff, real trainers, need a pep talk?

  1. Everyone has a urge whether be to stop the urge of eating to much, or smoking, or to much s*x, you get the point. In boxing from champ to wanna-be, we all say man I'll do that tomorrow!

    Knowing good and well that tomorrow will be the same test, so when you find yourself in that situation immediately go shoot some hoops swing the baseball bat, do a short sprint get motivated, listen to your favorite music that get's you pumped up. If this is not for you take a true look at yourself and ask is this what you truly and really want? Sometimes people need to see a shrink because there may or may not be a mental block to this. Find a partner that has different methods and techniques. find a coach that loves to train boxers. Get a group of people that are just like you and lead them in their workouts make yourself do it.   2. tell your self what you want in life. The only way to achieve those goals is to work at it . You know in your heart your getting older every day and you want your goal now so go for it!!!!

  3. if u want to be any gud, u have to work at it...

    ask your self this:

    do you want to be at home in front of the TV eating awaying and those pounds growing and growing, soon you will be so fat that no girl will go near you...

    of would you prefer to train for something you love, be healthy, be fit and have serious abs, cos lets face it guys, all girls lyk abs :P

  5. inspire yourself. here's some. Former heavyweight telling you to get to training. I'll be checking :)

Set attainable but challenging goals...........then you'll have something that will continue to motivate you to train...........maybe try to set up a sparring match..............or your first amateur bout.........maybe look up on the internet to find out exactly what workout Manny Stewart or a famous boxer goes through then work to try to do that same workout they do without getting winded.............you know yourself better than me...............but i know for myself a short term reachable(not necessarily easy)goal does the job...............good luck man.............
