  1. Try this:

    If 24 feet is the circumference (the length around the rim of the pool, I think you are about 258 gallons.  But my math is VERY rusty.


  2. 9 inches is 0.75 feet.  Formula for volume is area of the base (your base is a circle) times the depth.

    The area of a circle is Pi (3.14) X the radius squared (note: radius squared is the same as radius X radius or r X r).

    If by ROUND you mean the circumference, then you must first determine the diameter.  To do so, you divide 24 by 3.14.  Your diameter would be 7.6 feet.  The radius is 1/2 the diameter.  The radius is 3.8 feet.  

    So, to get the volume you'd multiply the following:

    3.14 X 3.8 X 3.8 X 0.75 = 34 cubic feet of water.

    One cubic foot of water holds 7.481 gallons.

    34 X 7.481 = 254.35 gallons to fill your pool.

    If, by chance, your pool is 24 feet in diameter, you'd use the following to determine the gallons:

    3.14 X 12 X 12 X 0.75 = 339.12 cubic feet X 7.481 =

    (rounded) 2537 gallons.

    3.14 x radius x radius x 9

  4. 24 feet diameter?

    ((24 x pi) x 2) + (24 x 9)

    I may be off. Just over 366 gallons.
