  1. You need to try and start doing a BBT chart.  Everyone is different and everyone has a different Luteal Phase.  I myself have a Luteal Phase of 11 days.  You can figure out your luteal phase by doing a bbt chart.  14 is just the default average.  Your Luteal Phase is always the same. (give or take a day) And the period before you ovulate is what determines how long your cycle will be.  So in reality, it's quite hard to know when the day of ovulation will arrive.  When it does...then if you know your Luteal Phase...you will know exactly when your period is due.  You said you period started today.  Perfect!  Start charting tomorrow morning!

  2. You actually provided some important information by saying that your cycles are 31-33 days long.  This would indicate that you do not necessarily ovulate when you would expect to.  You can usually tell when you are near ovulation based on cervical mucus and libido.  When you go to the restroom and there is a lot of 'snotty' discharge from your v****a, it is a good indication that you will ovulate soon.  You can assume your luteal phase begins after that egg white or snotty discharge is gone.  Also, when you have that mucus discharge, take note of your s*x drive.  It normally goes up during this time.  That typically means that you are fertile.

There are some other ways to check your fertility that include charting your Basal Body Temperature (BBT, body temperature at rest) and doing cervical exams.  There is a lot of information available online about fertility charting.  You can do a general (Google for me) search for fertility charting and it should give you quite a bit of good information.

  3. I asked the same question myself yesterday but got no answers :o(

I believe on a 'normal' cycle of 28 days you ovulate around CD 14 (so 14 days in to your cycle and 14 days before end of cycle). However, as our cycles are longer (mines 39 days) ovulation wont occur on CD 14 but still around 14 days before your next period is due (so for you around the 12th - 14th September).  I have bought an OPK (ovulation predictor kit) so I will know exactly when ovulation's going to happen next month. Maybe you should give this a try too?

Another thing to look out for is the change in CM (cervical mucas),  just before ovulation it becomes clear with the consistancy of egg white.

Hope this helps and good luck with you ttc!
