How do i find a child after 24 years ago its for a freind?

i am trying to find my brother he was took of my mum from birth by social services i just wondered if you know any web sites wat does this thanks

you should be able to access these records easily as even though he was taken by social services you are his sibling i have some adopted cousins who have many other biological siblings and my aunty and uncle have traced all these with the help of our local social services so that when they are older if they decide they want to meet my aunty and uncle can give them all the information, when tracing their other siblings they found two of there sisters lived very close and through social services they got in contact with their new mother and she agreed that they should meet they now they are in contact all the time and they know they are brothers and sisters.

You're in luck, you can get information on your sibling, we don't have closed records like the USA

Go back to Social Services and ask whether your brother has registered an interest in finding you. If he has, they will effect an immediate introduction. If not, they may help you by filing a request to register your interest in contacting him.

Also you might find that using friends reunited or some other site that has names, like Skype, will help you find him.

When a child is removed from a family due to abuse or neglect, it is a very difficult process to search.  These are now government records.  The best bet is to post on Search Websites, and hope that this now adult, will also be searching.  Try the International Adoption Soundex Reunion website for information and help.  There are also "adoption search angels" (google this) who will help for free.  They are usually highly experienced in searching.   Good luck to you!
