How do i find a child that was adopted 37 years ago?

Absolutely use the resources given to you already. I wish I knew if my birth father was looking for me. I don't even know if he knows I exist. It was through the internet I found my first mother and half sister. It took 12 years looking though.

try reunion.com register your name and maybe do a search for him. i just saw a reunion between father and daughter on TV this week.

you can get his birth certificate sometimes on the upper right corner of the birth c there is a cross reference if its tehre that is how you can find him.take care.

Put yourself out there to be found.  I would love for anyone in my family to find me, but I am aware that you guys were told to stay well away, right?   Believe me when I say that there are ALOT of adoptees searching who do not want their mom's to stay away - adoptees and birthparents are being told to stay away! It's time we were allowed to decide for ourselves, being all grown up and all!

Keep an up-to-date telephone directory listing of yourself by your maiden name in the area your son was born - it can help if someone is looking for you

You can request the non-identifying information for this adoption if you are birth-family. You will request this from the state of KY or the agency if it is still in operation in some form (ie Catholic Charities).  Requesting non-id info link below...
