How do i find a person that i put up for adoption?his name atbirth?

it says that you're entitled to non identifying information on him. And if he's put a file of consent to release his information then you can get it. You should also definately put a consent to release your information as well ( if you haven't already done so )

Also since you know his name, ( adopted ) then try searching myspace for him graduating class, or on classmates.com, reunion.com you may try tracking him newspaper archives for highschool graduate class etc. Michael is such a common last name you can be very busy, but it will keep you occupied and help you continue your search while you wait for the state to do anything.

But do definately submit that file of consent to release your information at the agency should he come looking.

You can try registering on the  Soundex Adoption Registry. Google adoption agencies and you should find a link there. You willneed to post allt he information you have about hima nd then if he chooses to want to find his birth parents, he too can register and they can make a match. The process can be quite long sometimes to try and make contact with an adoptee. Have patience and I wish you all the best in your search.

call the adoption agency you went through and find out if they can contact the parents for you to give the okay to give you the information since if it was a closed adoption considering on where you live you could get into a lot trouble for finding him without consent... good luck

Perhaps contact this lady.  She relinquished a child in MA around the same time as you and has been successful in reuniting with her son and obtaining the paperwork from the Adoption Agency, which they omitted to give her at the time - I'm sure she would be an inspiration to you (she is to me!)
