How do i find long lost relatives?

  2. Talk to the relatives you know, and write down as much family history as they can give.  

    Get out photo albums, and go over the pictures.  Find out who is in all the pictures, etc.  

    Find out if your family has an historic Bible, and check the births and deaths.

    Join a genealogy club, or web site  eg/ ancestry.com, Ellis Island Foundation (don't have the web site, but you can google)

    Follow up all info you find with searches through official censuses, church records, military records etc.


  3. This might should crazy but I have people searched them .. (on Yahoo), I even called what I thought were or could be family.  Plus, I too have used Ancestry.com to find the older generations ... and familysearch.org.    Good luck!
