  1. actually, when a laptop is asking for a security password it just means that your computer is detecting a wireless router.

    the network name that you will see in there is your router's network name and the password is also your router's network password. its not the other way around..

  2. What your asking doesnt make too much sense.

    You can get the name by going Start > Right Click My Computer > Properties > Computer Name Tab.

    However, most of the time, a router will be wanting the MAC Address.

    Get this by going Start > Run > type CMD > type ipconfig /all

    You will want the MAC address for the adapter connecting to the router.
