If you filed a 1040EZ, and checked either the "you" or "spouse" box on line 5, use EZ worksheet line F to determine the number of exemptions ($3,400 equals one exemption). I CLICKED YOU. WHERE IS MY EZ WORKSHEET.

  1. Just write on the FAFSA the number of exemptions you took. If you are single, it would be 1. If you are married and claim your spouse, it would be 2. Add more if you have kids. You don't need to go back to the tax filing worksheet, which by now you've probably thrown away.

  2. If someone else (parents) claimed you on thier taxes your exemptions would be zero.  Otherwise you would have 1 exemption (yourself).

You prob threw the worksheet out.
