go to invite on your account page then type in your friends name and email address and wala you have sent them an email inviting them to be your friend !  Hope this helps

On your 360 pages on the toolbar at the top is the option SEARCH.. if you know your friends Id names then use it to find them.. if their 360's are not not set to private then you should be successful
