  1. If your using windows go to your Start menu, go to Run. When the command window goes up just type ipconfig.

If you need more details on about your configuration type ipconfig/all and will tell things like the default gateway and subnet mask as well as your ip address

  2. Follow these steps:

Start>>Run>>(type 'cmd') pres ok>>(black window appears)(type 'ipconfig') & hit Enter.

    You'll find what u need & more...:-)

  3. Which brand of router you use? By default you are able to check thru internet browser with a specific address to configure your router.

  4. http://getmyipnow.com/moreip.php

You will need to do it in firefox, and depending on vista, you may have to download the html file and open it.

That will give you your private IP address. If it is something like 192.168.1.26 take your local private IP address, and change the number after the last period to, 0, to 1, to 254, or 255.

Not exactly a set science if you can't get into run, but it can get you there. Type that address into your web browser to get into your router.

You will probably need a username and password. A completely easier, and probably more useful alternative, is to explain which router you have, and the default IP address of it, as well as default username and password of the router, would be more simple for someone to provide from an internet search.

  5. just go to a website like.... whats my I.P

and it tell u that way.
