  1. search by his email on your 360 page.

  2. Go here:  http://360.yahoo.com  Click on Search (if it isn't an option given to u, u might want to create ur own 360 page then the option will b there for u) enter her email address or name or nickname If u know what she is using..or likely to use..then click Search. Unfortunately we hv the option to set our pages to b un-search able..she may hv done this. As one mom to another, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask to see her page occasionally n to notify u if she changes her nickname. 12 yr olds hv NO real concept of the danger out there. If she isn't doing anything wrong, then she has no reason to hide her page from her parent. Good luck!

  3. Elena has to give me her login and password to have the privilege of having a myspace profile.   I've also noticed that when she uses my computer it saves her login id, so if I ever see something different than the usual, I save it and search on it.  The thing is no matter what she tells you, she can create a free email on several sites and create a profile you don't know about.  There has to be education about what is safe and what is not and what the repercussions are if she doesn't stick to your rules.  I also have a myspace profile and and 360 profile and I'm on her friends list.  I check it every day or two for inappropriate content.  When I see something this isn't cool, we talk about why, and she changes it.  I AM NOT a helicopter mom - a mom who hovers over their kids shoulders while they are online.  (see even I can learn :)  And I don't nit pick, when I mention something it's important and she pays attention vs. it's just mom nagging again.  Make her show you her profile and make her add you as a a friend.   It's the price she has to pay to prevent me from being a helicopter mom and from losing use of the computer all together.

  4. You should give your kid some privacy!

    Why are you so worried?

Well, if you feel that it's necessary to checkup on your daughter, I believe you are doing the right thing. These days, it's pretty tough to keep an eye out for them.

I'm 20 and I chose not to talk to strangers on the internet, but not everyone is like me,... And it's a problem, especially when you're young and naive.

I encourage you to check up on her, but don't exaggerate.

    Give her a little privacy.

  5. Search by her username on the 360 home page. Good for you for being safe, I encourage you to get one yourself.
