Start your car.  Look at the mileage and write down the number.  Drive across town.  Look at the mileage.  Write that number above the first number.  Subtract the lower number from the higher number.  That's how many miles you've drive across town.  As an example, when you first start your car the mileage is 11,365.4 miles.  When you get to your destination the mileage now reads 11,371.6 miles.  You've driven 6.2 miles (11,371.6 - 11,365.4 = 6.2)  Easy, no?  Good luck!
