I ask my girlfriend all the time if she loves me she says yes, but sometimes i don't think she really means it. She is 16 and i'm 16 and we are always talking about marrying each other. But I want to really make a real commitment. I want to ask her if she wants to marry me when we turn 18. When I play around with her all time about that and she says she wants to marry me. But I don't know if she is just playing around with me are if she thinks i'm serious. But I first want to find out if she loves me.

  1. make a myspace with a pictures of some stud then message her from that account and ask her if she is single and see what she says

  2. if she's 16, she probably doesn't  if you're 16, you'll probably end up saying "i love you" to about 17 more girls.  have fun.

  3. Knowing that she loves you is something that you'll have to figure out and define for yourself. Love can mean so many things for so many people, so it depends on what YOU call love. But if you want to know if she is serious about marriage, then just tell her that you want to be serious, and ask her if she would want to marry you then (or whatever time you guys choose) and if she is willing to honestly commit to your relationship. Good luck to the two of you.

  4. Darren!!!!!! allthough that might actually work....really i don't know about you, but most 16 year old girls, really, really, get scared at the prospect of getting married, it's just to young, it's like your getting robbed of your youth...i mean if you ask her to marry you at 18, she'll never be able to have fun, and neither will you, you'll always be with each other, going out with each other, she won't have the experience of going out to a club or bar, and getting flirted with and being able to flirt back without being unfaithful to you. Personally i'm not getting married till my late 20's and theres good reason. 1. No risk of having kids. 2. I need my education first before i get a husband who forces me to let him provide for me 3. I want to go out with friends and have a good time, without getting a call from a worried husband, or jealous boyfriend.

Fact is you've probably scared her, and it's not fatal, but if she doesn't seem that enthusiastic about it then she's to young to be thinking about those things. If you really love her, I would be patient with her and guess what if yall are meant to be together then everything will be okay, theres no rush.

  5. 18 is way too early to be married.

My husband was 18 when we started dating.  We waited 6 years before we got married and I'm so happy for that.

I know it's hard to feel secure... but really how would a marriage work?  Could you afford rent somewhere?  Would you REALLY want to live with your inlaws or have your wife live with your parents?

I'm not saying the relationship won't last, I'm just saying you should enjoy the benefits of living at home while your young so you guys can afford to go out, travel and do other fun stuff together.
