How do i find out if someone has been arrested in a specific city?

My son in law told my daughter a story of an arrest but to me it sounded as if there were things missing in the story, so she asked me to find out what I can. I do not know the extent other than he claims he spent the night in jail. He claims it was only a fine and surcharge. I know it happened in Souix Falls N.D. Please help.

check the jails website or inmatefinder.com i think and there are plenty of website its not hard to fine out and you should try googling his name if there is a story
