the police, the local Municipal and District Court Clerks office will not tell me over the phone. is there a free website or somewhere i can call and find out for free? and no going to the police station to find out is definitely not an option. and like i already said no one will tell me over the phone and second i just didn't pay a misdemeanor ticket yet, i want to pay it tomorrow but i dint want to get arrested for trying to do the right thing. i was due on 073008 with a 10 day lee-way period i didn't get paid for 2 weeks so i couldn't pay on time.

  1. couldnt u have gotten an extension on the pay date?? im sure they woulda been cool about it if u told em what went down. i dont think theres a website like that. if there was all the ppl that had warrants would be on the look out

  2. If you're going to pay it, they won't lock you up.  Go in, talk to them.  Only if you keep avoiding it will they get you.  Don't worry, go do the right thing and you'll walk out.  Most jails are overcrowded and they're not going to put you in for a misdemeanor that you're going to pay for anyway.

  3. Go to the Court house and pay the fine they will probably add a little more to it for being late. Our jails are so full of real criminals that it would be kind of dumb for them to arrest you. Unless there are other charges against you you will probably be okay.

  4. Find a phone book and look up the local sheriff's department.  Check under the warrant division.  Warrants are public information, and the warrants people will gladly help you out.  Our warrant division gets over 500 calls a day.
