  1. The model number of your computer, can be found at the bottom of your computer on a sticker.

  2. go to system info.

  3. I don't know of any programs, but if it's a Windows PC (XP), click Start > Run and type 'dxdiag.exe' (or, in Vista, just type 'dxdiag.exe' in the search bar in the Start menu).  In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool that opens up, you can see basic specs; others can be found (in both XP and Vista) by right-clicking on the "My Computer" icon and clicking 'Properties'.

  4. right click on the my computer icon and click properties

it should say in the middle of the page that pops up what processor you have and how much memory - if you need to know how big the hard drive is double click(left) on the my computer icon and click once on the c drive - on the left hand side of the page it will tell you how much space you have and how much you have used.

  5. I'm not sure but that's a very good question

  6. Checking it's memory, harddisk (local disk) capacity

and probably the kind of window you run on, home edition or professional don;t run some latest programs/softwares.

It is good to upgrade to a service pack 2/3

  7. all that information is in the laptop. right click my computer and select properties and that window and its tabs should get you most the info you would need

  8. Before you download click on.. System Requirments.. and check to see what operating systems they will run on for example vista, Xp, mac, 2000 ect ect.
