How do i find out what a federal inmate was incarcerated for? I have his register # and on bop.gov it shows?

He's in federal prison. BUT i want to find out why and what for and his past convictions.The guy is going to be living in the house next door, and i dug up all this information.He is getting out 9-16-08 so i wanna find out what he did! Please don't link me to sites to pay.I want a free site. The state he is in right now is the indiana ffederal prison in terre haute the medium security prison. He previously was also in a florida federal prison 5-6 years ago, his register # is the same now as it was before (i can't say how i know this stuff, i just do) ...Ty

  1. Without more information, there's nowhere you could find this out for free. You need to know the jurisdiction that tried him, and then you could go to the court that tried him and see the records of what he was convicted for. There are pay sites that have gathered multiple jurisdictions' data together, but you don't want to pay. One other option would be to search newspaper archives (your local library should have access to an online, searchable database) for his name.
