I recently purchased an rx8 which had been imported a year ago the car is great but I can only get radio 1 I have tried auto scan and manual tuning but the fm frequency only goes from 77.0 to 99.9 and my favourite Heart fm is at 100.7!! I am assuming it has something to do with the car being originally for the japanese market but I'm hoping someone out there has a clever idea that means I can fix it!! Please!!

this is what you need due to Japan using lower frequencies

all i get on mine is radio 2.

  2. If you want to keep the same radio you need a frequency booster. They are about £25 in London area. It just plugs int back of set.

  3. I had the same problem with my Japanese import, you need a wave expander, take it to your local auto electricians, its easy to fit and not expensive

  4. Your car is built for Japanese radio frequencies. To recieve radio in the UK, you need a band expander, but your radio will still show the wrong frequencies & RDS won't work. You're better off replacing the radio.

  5. Buy a new radio.
