How do i find someone by using the screen name they gave me?

i was talkimg to a guy we got cut off can i use his screen name to find him

To find him in real life, it's virtually impossible.  But, there are a few things you can try.

1 - If he uses this screen name, he probably uses it on multiple sites.  Search sites that you think he might frequent and see if he has any information posted.  (Myspace, facebook, friendster, msn profile, yahoo profiles, message boards, etc...)

2 - You can try spamming his possible email accounts as well.  Again, more than likely, he uses the screen name elsewhere.  For example, if his user name is 'BigSexy7', you could try [e-mail], [e-mail], [e-mail], [e-mail], etc...

Don't know if that helps, but it may get you somewhere.

Try Yahoo! Member Directory.  Type in yahoo screen name and select yahoo id.
